Stress Management Workshop

This 4-session workshop will assist you in achieving a better understanding of what stress means and how it affects each of us differently. You will discover ways to cope with and manage stress.

Session highlights:
    1. Understanding Stress – Aug. 21, 2024, 10 am - 12 Noon
  • What is stress to you
  • Recognizing your sources of stress; external vs internal stress
  • Identify your symptoms of stress
  • 2. Relaxation Techniques – Aug. 22, 2024, 1:30 – 3:30 pm
  • Learn about meditation types
  • Experience progressive muscle relaxation, chair yoga, and tapping
  • Create art as a coping skill
  • 3. How Stress Affects Us – Aug 23, 2024, 10 am – 12 Noon
  • Recognize the difference between good and bad stress
  • Take away a deeper understanding of the affects of stress
  • 4. Self-Care – Aug. 26, 2024, 10 am – 12 noon
  • Learn about self-care and its many forms, and discover the kinds of self-care that work for you

Eligibility requirements
Sessions are stand-alone you are welcome to participate in all five sessions or you can choose which session(s) you are interested in.

How to apply
Contact your employment facilitator or SSILC office at 306-757-7452 or info@ssilc.ca for an intake which will include completing the Labour Market Services Registration form, action plan, and referral to a SSILC counselor.
